First off we would like to thank the good people at Drunkoffshoes for putting together extremely well this first edition of the Sneaker Lifestyle convention. With that said and from my perspective, I have to say that I had a great time. We sold a bunch of kicks, traded for some new joints, met a lots of heads from the city and got to see Freehandprofit’s insane sneaker mask collection.

The Quai 54 is the only streetball tournament worldwide sponsored by Jordan Brand. Founded by Hammadoun Sidibe, it has historically been held the last weekend of June every summer in Paris since 2002. Now being held at Champ De Mars , Infront of the Eiffel Tower. With over 6000 people attending and 16 teams from around the world . The Quai 54 has grown to become one the worlds largest Streetball Tournamnets. Rumors been going around for months , Its now confirmed there will be a nike outlet at Marche Central . Opening May 17th at 10am , Dont expect crazy Jordan releases or anything like that , will be mostly running and discount clothing but u never know what can show up at Outlets .
Its been a crazy year for the Sneaker “Game” . From Release after Release , and all the freaking Re-Stocks . When we think we’ve seen it all , Nike pulls this one outta nowhere. Initially considered a b-grade variation during the Johnny Kilroy campaign late last year , Now Nike has Decided to release the “Black Bottoms” Exclusively on Nike.com For 130$ ,and the sales link can be accessed via @NikeStore’s Twitter link only, so be sure to follow them for the update . In October 2012 the Jordan Brand released several colors of the iconic Air Jordan 9. The product celebrated the “Johnny Kilroy” campaign launched by the brand in 1995. During the creation process of this launch a small percentage of the product was built with a black outsole (versus the white outsole that was intended). Due to the colors not being correct the product was automatically classified as a “B-grade” product. “B-grade” is the technical term for a flawed product; in this case the “flaw” is merely an outsole color that does not match the product code. The team associated with the brand love Jordans and none of us felt comfortable destroying a perfectly good product. Instead, we decided to do what Michael himself would have done…identify a challenge and attack it. In this case, consumers are the winners.
Unlucky for us Canadians we cant order from Nike.com . So Im curious to see what re-sale becomes on these , and if there’s a re-stock !
